Playing a musical instrument means that you give something back to the people. My bass makes them dance.

That perfect little bass line connecting the parts of the song.

Over-produced R&B stuff.

I started playing electric organ when I was 8, but stopped about 7 years later, only to pick up an electric guitar at the relatively ripe age of 29. I didn't really get any good and only got to play off-and-on in a few bands.

Everything fell into place when I bought my first bass guitar (Yamaha) in 2004 ago. Since then I have been a member of various bands and currently play in 3-piece rock band Circles of Confusion, based in South Oxfordshire and Berkshire, and in an as yet unnamed 5-piece funk/rock band.

I am entirely self-taught. I play a Warwick Streamer LX JazzMan 4 String bass guitar through a Gallien Krueger 1001RB-II head and 115RBH cab.

In real life, I make a living working as a consultant for a software company.
