Posted On 29/01/2010 09:46:24 by Sarssipius

The low B string of 5 strings bass is often the source of many troubles... Here is a series of videos to understand why it is and to explain how to adjust this string for the best tone possible. Galeazzo Frudua explains how to adjust the B string of a bass. Hope you'll enjoy these videos as much as I did.

The Dingwall Combustion bass (reviewed recently in BGM) seems to have an interesting idea with a bridge that has a different scale length for each string.  It should be fairly effective to tame a floppy B string but not so sure about the fanned fretboard.  Anybody tried one?
