I'm doing all this classical music stuff and I'm thinking about playing bass. I'm doing the dishes and I'm thinking about how to get better on bass. For God's sake, I'm teaching bass and thinking about the things I would actually like to be playing on bass. I'm playing bass and am distracted by the other bass things I would like to be playing. I look at my bank balance and dream of new basses and cabs. I look at my bass while I'm playing it and want to buy it again. I covet other peoples basses. (I'm sure there is a commandment about not coveting in this way.) I covet your bass. It would love me better. Deal with it!!
