I'm a wood turner, what I manage to make nowadays gets sold (if I'm lucky) through the big galleries over here, not many of those so not very rich either.

Not seen much these last few years, 1 I cant afford it much and 2 I nearly always get a gig and have to change plans.

I play most jazz nowadays, for several bands, but every now and then I gig with some old rock n rollers which is brilliant cos I can just relax and enjoy the gig with no pressure to be clever.

Tend not to read much at the moment but if I do its either Sci Fi/fantasy or detective stories.

My Ergo, electric upright bass. Its just so cool and uncomplicated. But it has taken a while to work out how best to play it.
The new light weight amps, 1000watts out of something that weighs 8lbs and is 8X8x4 inches just brilliant.

These fake distressed instruments, what is that about, certainly not the playing.
Players who think its about how many notes they can fit into a bar.

Been playing since 79 when someone handed me a bass and said come on we need a bass player, how hard can it be. Well, we know how hard it can be, given what we have to play against. Within 6 months we where winning the melody maker band of the year 1980 comp. £1000 and a contact with EMI, and for me a kiss from Annie Lennox, (still not washed since) the kiss turned out to be the kiss of death for the band tho as with most of these things, EMI didnt really want us to win so in the end we were just mucked about and then dumped. Hey Ho, thats the music business for you.
