Apart from music.
Walking, ideally to a pub.
Avoiding DIY.
Searching charity shops for leather jackets.

O brother, where art thou?
From dusk 'till dawn.
Anything by Simon Pegg/Nick Frost.

I'll listen to pretty much anything. When you close your ears you close your mind.
Current playlist is 'Heads I win, tails you lose' by Oli Brown. 'Piety Street' by Jon Schofield. 'The Tower Sessions' by Aynsley Lister. 'At home with the blues' by Freddie King.

Reading 'Electric Eden - unearthing Britain's visionary music' by Rob Young. It's big but excellent.

When it all comes together.

Lack of commitment. Cold fingers.

I play regularly as part of a church band (true home of the blues) and also as one third of the Daz Kelly Band (blues/gospel/Americana). I also dip into other bands and projects as opportunity arises. Currently playing every second Friday of the month at The Joiners Arms, Quarndon, Derbyshire.

Len, we are, or should I say "I", am def hip to Hodgkinson and Backdoor. He too is a sworn P-Bass man (the only bass, as far as im concerned)like me! I heard about him through Jonas Hellborg back in the 90's. Though I'm more a Jack Bruce man, Jack is the King!... Well or Entwisle....

Hi there, thanks for the friend add. The Bass, Drum. Sax line-up is a potent one. Here's a YouTube link to a band that inspired me to pick up tha bass back in the seventies.

Hi Len, Likewise! I haven't been here long I moved back from France after five years where I made some great music! English bands are very rare! I've been through Derby and it seemed a happening place!

The "platoon" is growing! You just can't have enough basses!

I will have being playing bass for 10 years next spring, though im from a (classical) musical family and started instruments at the age of 4. Cello is the longest standing which I did for about 11 years from 6yrs old before taking a break on it to concentrate on my need to be a 'rockstar'. Started playing it again though recently and have fallen back in love with it which is nice!

my main bass is a 1979 wine red american p-bass (the one in the profile pic) which was a birthday pressie this year. Its effin gorgeous, I feel so lucky to have found it!

Im now professional so do lots of teaching, sessions, as well as my main band Unkle Bob. Its lots of fun, I'm a lucky and happy girl! BTW get this months (dec) issue of bgm; im being featured in the bass to the future article!! yaaay!

Thank you

The black one is a cheap bass that I removed the frets, the other is a cort c5z. I am only playing with the fretless, and it's awesome.
