Playing music!! what else is there in life ?

Not really into films, got a nice collection of music DVDs though, tend to have music on rather than watching the haunted fish tank.

Far to much to list an id only end up missing out loads but at the time of writing this I'm listing to Rory Gallagher & Steve Earle... but Blues, Jazz, Country, Bluegrass, Folk, through to Rock, Metal, etc etc (not forgetting the funk!) an all the sub branches that come off that lot, (total music snob an proud of it)....
Bass playing hero's are : Victor Wooten, Jack Bruise, John Entwistle, Jaoc Pastorious, Brad Smith, Flea, Stuart Zender, Stanley Clark, and anybody who catches my attention. To many to mention.

Last book i read was "Replacements - All over but the shouting"

Hi Dan,

Gerry McAvoy has wriiten a great autobiography called 'Riding Shotgun'. I got mine through the website http://www.ridingshotgun.co.uk/

Well worth getting a copy.

When I've seen him play live he always looks like he's really enjoying himself. Wouldn't want to upset him though. He's a tough Belfast boy.

Hi Dan, thanks for being my first friend!

Glad you like Rory G. I'm old & lucky enough to have seen him play live. First time back in the 70's.

His old bassist, Gerry McAvoy plays for Nine Below Zero. Still pounding out the blues.

This all depends on what im doing.... If with my band Psycho Fiend its a BC Rich Warlock 4string, Trace Amp and Cab plus an guitar EQ pedal, A Marshal Comprestion Pedal and a Fender Tuner pedal. If at home its a Yamaha RBX 170 bass though my Peavy Combi Amp and 1 of many pedals that I have it depends on my mood and the sound I want lol what about your self mate?
